“Will you reverse your vasectomy so we can have another baby?” I sobbed.
“No way! Are you crazy? We already have three and aren’t going for a fourth. We decided I would get a vasectomy for a reason.”
Lately, I’ve been feeling stuck. Like I just don’t know what my next move should be. Where am I going with my writing and why am I even doing it. You grew-up going to church. You learned bible stories like Noah’s Ark and Daniel and the Lions Den. You sang in Christmas concerts and went to youth group.
You lived in this bubble, nicely protected by Christian parents, Christian friends.
Then you hit high school and it was like your life split into two, the high school life and the church life. You had to figure out how to live in both.

My daughter has Mosaic Down Syndrome (Click here for more info)and struggles with her speech. She has a hard time finding the right words to say in order to express herself.
We want the very best for her, so we put her in speech therapy. We hoped the extra support would help her develop quicker.
However, we discovered that speech therapy is not a quick fix. It’s not enough to send her to therapy one hour a week and expect a triumphant outcome.Continue reading “Overwhelmed?”
I can’t tell you how many times it’s made me feel better to hear other moms recount their crazy stories about their kids. There’s something about knowing that it’s not just me. I’m not alone; there are others going through the same crazy stuff. When I hear their stories I think, Me Too! Yes, Me Too!
It helps me keep a healthy perspective on life and motherhood. It lifts my soul in a way nothing else can.
